I lived for 15 months in the saddle between Overlook Mountain and Mt. Guardian in the Catskills, just outside of Woodstock, New York.

Before setting up the custom cabin tent, I built a wood deck to keep the tent level and dry.

I covered the surface with clearance vinyl flooring.

Once the tent was in place, I built a ridge pole over which to hang the fly.

It was a cold winter.
